Is Prague good for kids? Yes, and this one-day Prague itinerary with kids shows why. You see the castle, Charles Bridge and the Astronomical Clock, then add the things kids remember: a giant moving head, an arcade with simulators and dinner served by model trains.

Take Tram 22 up to Prague Castle, ride it back down to Malá Strana and cross Charles Bridge into the Old Town. After the Astronomical Clock and a Czech lunch, walk to Kafka's head and LEVELS, and finish at Výtopna on Wenceslas Square.

Prague Castle to Wenceslas Square

Allow 6-7 hours. One tram ride downhill from the castle, then everything is on foot.

Good to know

Allow 6-7 hours
This route fills most of the day. The only ride is the tram down from the castle; the rest is a short walk between stops.
Cobblestones everywhere
The Old Town is cobbled and the castle area is hilly, so a sturdy stroller or a baby carrier works better than a light buggy.
Reserve Výtopna
The model-train restaurant is popular with families. Book a table for the end of the day.
