The 21 wineries

Looking for a winery open on Saturday in Israel? Most Israeli wineries close on Shabbat, so this map only shows wineries whose Saturday opening hours we checked, with each winery's hours, phone number and website.

The map is grouped by region: the Golan Heights, the Galilee and the north (including Mount Carmel and Zikhron Ya'akov), the Sharon, the Jerusalem hills and Judean foothills, and the south. The Judean foothills have the most wineries close together, so you can easily visit two or three on the same Saturday.

Several wineries open on Saturday for only a few hours, and some only open on Fridays and Saturdays. Hours change on holidays and during harvest, so call before you drive and book a tasting where you can.

Good to know

Call before Saturday
Saturday hours change on holidays, in summer and at harvest time. Call the winery on Friday to check it's open.
Book a tasting
Small wineries often seat only a few groups. Booking ahead is the best way to get a table on a Saturday.
Plan one region
Distances add up fast. Pick one region, like the Judean foothills or the Galilee, and visit two or three wineries.
Pick a driver
Israel's drink-driving limit is low, and even lower for new and young drivers. Share the driving or join a tour.
