What spotz.guide is
Planning a trip usually means a dozen open tabs and a list of names with no idea where they are. spotz.guide puts it on a map instead: every Christmas market in Prague, the best tiramisu in Rome, a full day in Florence on foot.
Maps show the best spots for one thing. Routes give you an order to follow, with walking times between stops and the best metro, ferry or taxi when a walk is too long. Every spot opens straight in Google Maps.

How every map and route is made
Places we know, or that come highly recommended
Spots come from our own trips with the family, or from strong recommendations from people we trust. Each one is chosen with a simple question in mind: is it worth your time?
Pinned to the exact Google Maps listing
Every spot is linked to its own Google Maps listing, so Open in Google Maps and Navigate take you to the right door, not a pin somewhere nearby.
Dates and hours from official sources
Christmas market dates and opening hours are checked against the organisers and official city sites. When the new dates are not announced yet, we say so and show last year's dates as a guide.
Real walking times between stops
Routes use real street paths. When a walk is longer than 30 minutes, the route suggests the best metro, bus, ferry or taxi option for that city.
Hotels near the spots on the map
Recommended hotels are picked close to the places in each guide, and the links go straight to the hotel's own page, not a broad search.
Updated, with the date on every guide
Each guide shows when it was last updated. Seasonal maps, like the Christmas markets, are refreshed every year.

Who checks the guides

Every guide is put together and checked by Amit Keren, founder and editor of spotz.guide, before it goes live and again whenever dates change.
How spotz.guide is funded
Some hotel and tour links are affiliate links. If you book through them, spotz.guide may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never decides which places go on a map.
